Tom and Christine were about to move into their first family home. With his first ever Father’s Day also approaching, Christine wanted a special gift to show Tom what an amazing daddy he was.
She wanted a personalised family picture to be the first one they hung on the wall in their new house and luckily, she knew just the moment she wanted to capture.
Adjusting to life with a newborn baby can be tricky at the best of times but for Tom and Christine, their baby girl, Rosalie, had arrived just before Covid lockdown. Suddenly this brand new little family had a lot of time to spend together.
One morning, as Christine came upstairs carrying the washing, she found Tom and little Rosalie fast asleep together. As she watched them she saw a tiny hand reach up for Daddy’s cheek and rest there.
Christine felt gentle tears on her face, not of sadness but of absolute joy and love for them both. Watching through this window into a daddy and daughter’s world, this special moment seemed to capture all the closeness of their last few months together.
When Fathers Day arrived, Christine was full of excitement and butterflies to give Tom his first ever gift for being a Dad. It was beautifully wrapped and presented and felt like something truly special.
Tom opened the gift and saw the black and white photo beautifully framed with the words ‘Our hero’ and a personalised, hand stamped tag. Christine could see how much it meant to him and was so happy she’d been able to show him how much love, admiration and affection she had for him.
A simple moment and a simple gift - but it meant the world.
